Old style ambience, provides the basic needs of a hotel, was very quiet/ deserted feeling (hardly any staff or guests available during the day), had to wait quite some time before the reception staff came out to reception area (with strong scent of previously smoking).

Breakfast was great. Each morning we were greeting by a friendly smile and felt very welcome. There were plenty of options for food and drink, I loved the fresh fruit and the bread, also the juice and coffee.

Very nice hotel with a very relaxing atmosphere. Breakfast was very good, and the dinning hall itself is really nice with a great view to the garden. We had an overnight stay as a starting point to our journey to Douro valley after arrived from Lisbon, and it was perfect for us.

A gem of a find, such a lovely hotel. Only had the 1 night but would be more than happy to do a longer stay. The local town was interesting with plenty to see too. Definitely go again

Nice “castle” with fresh renovation, ourdoor swimming pool. Big parking is available. Located a bit aside from the city centre. Good breakfast.

The hotel was in a quiet location, and was peaceful. The room was clean and furnished adequately. The view was over the street. The breakfast was tasty, with a good selection of different foods.
